Prof. Robert Lenkinski is the Charles A. and Elizabeth Ann Sanders Chair in Translational Research; Jan and Bob Pickens Distinguished Professorship in Medical Science, in Memory of Jerry Knight Rymer and Annette Brannon Rymer and Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Picken, at UT Southwestern, Dallas, Texas
Previously, he was a Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School, a Vice-Chairman and Director of Radiology Research at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Co-Director, Longwood Small Animal Imaging Facility. One of his major research interests is the clinical applications of in vivo Magnetic Resonance spectroscopy. Dr Lenkinski is also developing in vivo multinuclear MR imaging methods. A more recent area of interest has been molecular imaging. He received his Ph.D in Chemistry from the University of Houston. He has authored many articles in peer-reviewed journals and has been awarded several patents.
