Assessing cases of child abuse is certainly no easy task. A major focus of determining whether or not abuse has occurred is to ensure the future safety and well-being of the child, which in some cases may mean removing the child from the home or arrest for the parent or caregiver.

Bruising, rashes and other abnormalities of the skin are common physical symptoms that can be associated with child physical and sexual abuse. But what if it isn’t abuse?

Join MobileODT and Evidentia Publishing in our latest webinar to gain skills in how to discern what is associated with suspected sexual abuse and what may be attributed to other dermatologic disorders or cultural medical practices.

Lead by SANE expert Diana Faugno, MSN, RN, CPN, SANE-A, SANE-P, FAAFS, DF-IAFN, DF-AFN learn about common dermatologic and blood-clotting disorders that can mimic abuse and best practices for how to address this in the forensic exam.

* Due to the sensitive nature of the images shared, case examples will only be visible during the live webinar.
