MobileOCT was honored this week by being named 'Startup of the Week' by Israel's leading business newspaper, TheMarker - the english version of which was published in Haaretz last week. It's quite a privilege, and we're very grateful for Daniel Ben-Yehuda for introducing us to the journalist, Inbal Orpaz, who found our venture important enough to feature!
Here is how she introduced us:
Every two minutes, a woman somewhere in the world dies from cervical cancer. That's more than a quarter of a million a year, and it need not be that way. Cervical cancer is relatively treatable, as long as it's caught early enough, meaning within five years. Now an Israeli startup, MobileOCT, hopes to reduce that number with new technology for early detection - by smartphone.
The rest of the article is for registered readers of Haaretz only, so feel free to go online and register for a free account so you can read it!
Thanks again to Inbal Orpaz for the wonderful opportunity to share what we're doing - and the honor of naming us Startup of the Week.
